Fountains Hall

Fountains Hall is a country house built by Stephen Proctor between 1598 and 1604, partly with stone from the abbey ruins. It is a Grade I listed building owned by the National Trust and part of the designated Studley Royal Park including the Ruins of Fountains Abbey UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Hall is reputedly haunted by a number of apparitions. These include a woman in blue; and a man in Elizabethan-era clothing who walked through the oak panelling in the Stone Hall.
